Third Party Fire and Theft

For a more affordable insurance policy without the bells and whistles, Oceania Insurance provides a Third Party Fire and Theft insurance policy that covers:

  • damage caused by fire
  • theft and damage caused by attempted theft
  • a hire car following fire or theft
  • towing costs following fire or theft
  • damage to a third party’s property caused by your car

Third Party Property Damage

Oceania Insurance offers Third Party Property Damage that helps protect you against any damage you cause to someone else’s property. How do I make a claim with Oceania Insurance?

You can make a claim through your online policy manager or by contacting Oceania Insurance directly through one of their chat options. When you make a claim, you’ll likely need to provide the following:

  • details of the incident, including the date, time and location
  • the name, address, vehicle registration and insurance details of any other drivers involved
  • names and contact details of any eyewitnesses
  • a police report (if applicable)
  • the details of the tow truck company used (if applicable)

It may also be a good idea to take photos of the damage to your car. Oceania Insurance will process your claim and then inform you of the outcome.

Do I have to pay an excess payment?

If you make a claim, you’ll need to pay an excess unless Oceania Insurance determines an identified third party is responsible.

How do I cancel my Oceania car insurance policy?

You can cancel your car insurance policy with Oceania Insurance at any time. If you cancel within 21 days of purchasing or renewing the policy, and you haven’t made a claim, you’ll avoid paying a cancellation fee and receive a full refund. If you cancel after the first 21 days, you will receive a pro rata refund of your premium, less the cancellation fee.
